Albisheim is a municipality in the district of Worms in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. It is located on the Rhine River, approximately 10 kilometers north of Worms. Albisheim has a population of approximately 4,000.
The first mention of Albisheim dates back to 774, when it was listed as a property of the Abbey of Lorsch. In 1232, the village was destroyed by troops of King Frederick II. It was rebuilt and granted the status of a town in 1256. Albisheim was besieged and conquered by French troops in 1689.
