Alzano Scrivia is a town and comune in the Metropolitan City of Genoa, in the region of Liguria, in northwestern Italy.
It is located about 35 kilometres (22 mi) northeast of Genoa. As of 2015, it had a population of 22,966.
The town was founded in the 11th century by the Counts of Ventimiglia. It was a free commune until 1191, when it was conquered by Genoa. In 1227 it was recaptured by the emperor Frederick II. In 1251 it was again acquired by Genoa, and finally incorporated into the Republic of Genoa in 1257.
