Alpette borders the following municipalities: Borgiallo, Burolo, Candia Canavese, Ceresole Reale, Fontanetto Po, Livorno Ferraris, Rivarolo Canavese, and Trana.

The municipality of Alpette contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Barra, Bessè, Boschietto, Candiolo, Cascinette, Castelletto, Cascinotte, Cavagnet, Ceresole, Fontanetto, Grange, Mezzane, Montalenghe, Nanto, Pianezza, Piverone, Rivara, Rocca, and Settimo Rottaro.

Alpette is home to the Roman ruins of Epagannium, which include a theatre and an amphitheatre.
