Ravenel is a commune in the Aube department in north-central France. It is located in the former province of Champagne. The inhabitants of the commune are known as Ravenellois.
The commune has been awarded three flowers by the National Council of Towns and Villages in Bloom in the Competition of cities and villages in Bloom.
Ravenel is located some 30 km south-east of Troyes and 10 km north-west of Nogent-sur-Seine. The D619 road passes through the commune from west to east and the D151 comes from Gremonville in the north and passes through the village before continuing south-east to Mesnil-Saint-Loup. The D436 passes through the north-west of the commune and the D437 from Doulevant-le-Chateau in the north-east passes through the village before continuing south-west to Joinville. The D24 road also comes from Joinville in the south-west and passes through the commune before continuing east to Ailleville. The commune is mixed forest and farmland with some residential development in the village.
