Alejandro Gallinal is a Uruguayan footballer who plays as a winger or as an attacking midfielder for Peñarol in the Uruguayan Primera División.

Born in Salto, Gallinal started his career with local club Juventud de Las Piedras. He made his professional debut with Juventud in the Uruguayan Segunda División in 2006. Gallinal played two seasons with Juventud, before joinig Peñarol in 2008.

With Peñarol, Gallinal has won four Uruguayan Primera División titles, two Uruguayan Cups and one Copa Libertadores. He has also been named Uruguayan Footballer of the Year on two occasions, in 2009 and 2011.

At the international level, Gallinal has represented Uruguay at the 2010 FIFA World Cup and the 2011 Copa América.
