Saint-Michel-de-Maurienne is a commune in the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France. It is a sub-prefecture of the department. The inhabitants of the commune are known as Micheliens and Micheline. The commune has been awarded three flowers by the National Council of Towns and Villages in Bloom in the Competition of cities and villages in Bloom.

The commune is located in the Massif des Maures Mountains. It is the capital of the canton of Saint-Michel-de-Maurienne and an important road and railway junction as the start of the Col de la Croix de Fer.
